Stephen Swaffar

Regenerative Ranching Advisor

Steve Swaffar serves as a regenerative ranching advisor in the Producer Guidance program at Noble Research Institute. He received a Bachelor of Science in systematics and ecology and a Master of Arts in systematics and ecology from the University of Kansas. He grew up working on his grandparents’ wheat and cattle farm in Grant and Garfield counties in northern Oklahoma. Steve has spent the last 25 years working in ag conservation, ag policy and ag systems promotion. During his career, he has visited the farms and ranches of countless regenerative agriculture innovators to learn first-hand about regen cover crop and soil health practices. Steve is an avid gardener and beekeeper and practices regenerative management techniques in these hobbies. Swaffar and his family own a small property where they plan to raise grazing livestock and continue beekeeping. 

At Noble, Steve focuses on soil health, ecosystem management and grazing.
