NEWS RELEASE
Issued - October 13, 2009

ARDMORE, Okla. — The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation announced today the promotion of Jill Wallace to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Wallace has served as the Noble Foundation Director of Accounting and Finance for the past three years. She joined the Noble Foundation's accounting staff in 2005 as Controller after more than 14 years at Noble Energy, where she earned the post of senior financial reporting accountant.

"Jill Wallace has managed our financial operations with excellence, displaying professionalism and a strong knowledge of current accounting systems and their execution, as well as applying this knowledge to the complexities of a tax exempt organization such as the Noble Foundation," said Michael A. Cawley, President and Chief Executive Officer. "This promotion is a recognition of not only her hard work, but also her excellent performance in shouldering the responsibility for the financial leadership of the Noble Foundation."

As CFO, Wallace will continue to provide oversight on all financial matters including annual budgeting and investments. Her daily duties include supervising accounting department personnel, participating as a member of the executive management team and interacting with outside regulatory agencies and consultants.

"I'm thankful to the Board of Trustees and Mike Cawley for this recognition, and I'm grateful to the talented and dedicated team I work with daily," Wallace said. "Lloyd Noble once wrote that 'no individual builds anything worthwhile by his effort alone.' I know that to be true. Our group of scientists, agricultural consultants, technicians and administrators here at the Noble Foundation are successful because we are united in our vision. I'm proud to be a part of this tremendous organization."

Wallace was born and raised in Ardmore, where she currently lives with her husband, Sam, and their two boys, Jackson, 12, and Parker, 8. Wallace earned a bachelor of business administration in accounting from the University of Oklahoma in 1990 and then became a Certified Public Accountant four years later.
