The Sept. 15 workshop will take place at the Civic Center in Saint Jo, Texas. The second workshop, scheduled for Sept. 18, will be held at the Bonham Life Center in Bonham, Texas. The Saint Jo workshop is limited to the first 45 registrants, and the Bonham workshop is limited to the first 60 registrants; preregistration is required.
Staff from the Noble Foundation, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and Natural Resources Conservation Service will discuss topics such as deer biology (including facts, myths and misconceptions), habitat, food habits, population management, state programs, antler development, deer health and deer management associations. The workshops will include a plant walk focusing on deer food plant identification. Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss specific issues with the experts after the workshop.
