Seminar set to assist farmers, ranchers with estate planning

ARDMORE, Okla. – The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation Agricultural Division will host an Estate Planning Seminar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, at the Noble Foundation's Kruse Auditorium in Ardmore.

The seminar is designed to help local ranchers and farmers learn the best techniques to manage the various assets that make up their estates, including real estate, livestock, machinery and cash investments.

"This seminar will give farmers and ranchers the opportunity to learn about the many variables that impact their estate planning," said Job Springer, agricultural economist with the Noble Foundation. "Agricultural producers work extremely hard to accumulate assets that make up their farms and ranches. We want to help them protect and preserve their estates for future generations."

The speakers for this year's seminar are Craig Watson, J.D., who is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys; and John A. Bachelor III, a CPA and attorney who focuses on securities law, tax law, estate planning and agriculture/small business planning.
