Agricultural Division Staff: Wadell Altom
Altom came to the Noble Foundation in 1966. In February 2000, he became a member of the Ag Management Group and was named division director in November 2004. His consultation work at the Foundation involved him with area farmers and ranchers in soil management and fertilization. He also has conducted several studies on soil nutrient sources, rates and placement. Prior to his employment at the Foundation, he worked in private industry and university extension near Lubbock, Texas. Altom grew up on a row crop and dairy farm near Ada, Okla.• Master of Science in agronomy, 1970, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla.
